{"id":227,"date":"2008-08-08T14:19:42","date_gmt":"2008-08-08T20:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mulibraries.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/?p=227"},"modified":"2008-08-08T14:19:42","modified_gmt":"2008-08-08T20:19:42","slug":"techno-trash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/2008\/08\/08\/techno-trash\/","title":{"rendered":"Techno-Trash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Additional techno-trash containers have been placed in the Information Commons.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> One container near the east-side printers (1A, 1B) in the Information Commons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> One container next to the drinking fountain on the north wall of the east end of the Information Commons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Techno-Trash items are:<\/p>\n<p>Cell phones in any condition (or give these to Dan Dodd for Cell Phones for Soldiers)<br \/>\nPrinter toner cartridges (any)<br \/>\nBatteries<br \/>\nCalculators<br \/>\nComputer parts<br \/>\nVideocassettes<br \/>\nCDs, DVDs, diskettes etc. and their cases<br \/>\nFlash drives<\/p>\n<p>ACT (Alternative Community Training) has provided these containers and they send people in to pick up the contents. ACT then converts the \u201ctechno-trash\u201d into usable office products and distributes them nationally through GreenDisk.<\/p>\n<p>PT Martin is our contact with ACT.
