Outreach Coordinator, MU Career Center<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tHelp all students &ndash; focus on those in transition, deciding, or in programs that do not have a specific career office or person for the department, major, or school<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tIn transition &ndash; changing majors, rethinking area of study, etc.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tDeciding &ndash; trying to &ldquo;figure out&rdquo; what they want to do and how to get there\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWithout specific office &ndash; Neither A&amp;S nor HES have focused career offices, some individual programs have a career advisor or coordinator though\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tHelp on a drop-in basis<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t40+ student peer-advisors\/paraprofessionals who undergo 100+ hours of training to work with other students on making career decisions\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tHelp through resume\/cover letter review, mock interviews, self-assessments\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tMany colleges have focused career services offices which are able to focus on that particular industry and help with recruitment and exposure through career fairs and other programming\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tMU Career Center does not do recruitment or host career fairs<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tFocus is on making student &ldquo;employable&rdquo;, not necessarily finding them employment\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tTop services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tResume and cover letter review\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tSelf-Assessment &ndash; particularly Strength Quest\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tMock interviews\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWorkshops on online image, LinkedIn, etc.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tWork with employment while a student<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tPart-time on and off campus, internships, etc.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWork Study based in Career Center\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tHireMizzouTigers.com &ndash; Job board with over 10,000 jobs a year ranging from full-time with experience to part-time while a student\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tAlso offer in-depth career counseling by graduate counseling students by appointment throughout the semester\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tDo a lot of referral work, between area specific career centers, international center, etc.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tQuestion: Interview space for students<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tDo have some interview spaces for students as do some of the college specific offices (for skype and such);
