{"id":1035,"date":"2009-05-08T12:32:48","date_gmt":"2009-05-08T18:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mulibraries.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/?p=1035"},"modified":"2009-05-08T12:32:48","modified_gmt":"2009-05-08T18:32:48","slug":"johnson-wins-j-school-staff-appreciation-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/2009\/05\/08\/johnson-wins-j-school-staff-appreciation-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Johnson Wins J-School Staff Appreciation Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">Nina Johnson won the Journalism School&#8217;s Amy Lenk Staff Appreciation Award at a ceremony held in the Reynolds Journalism Institute on April 30.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">This annual event celebrating the contributions of journalism staff was formerly known as the &#8220;Pat on the Back Award.&#8221;  Last year, the <em>Missourian<\/em> faculty and staff nominated Nina and were told that she was not staff since she was a librarian.  Evidently they felt so strongly about it, they appealed to the committee to allow them to honor her.  Dean Mills read a brief part of one of the nominations, presented her with a $500 cash award, a plaque and a packet of nomination letters.
