Mizzou\u00a0Library has a great selection of magazines both online and in the library itself.<\/p>\n<p>In Ellis Library, physical copies of magazines can be found in a couple of different places. New issues are located behind the Peer Navigator desk in Information Commons 2 on the first floor of Ellis, near government documents and DVDs. Once the whole year of publications are available, these physical copies are bound together and moved into the stacks based on\u00a0subject.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-38624 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2026\/03\/1st_Floor-1024x773.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2026\/03\/1st_Floor-1024x773.png 1024w, https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2026\/03\/1st_Floor-300x226.png 300w, https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2026\/03\/1st_Floor-768x580.png 768w, https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2026\/03\/1st_Floor-1536x1159.png 1536w, https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2026\/03\/1st_Floor-2048x1546.png 2048w, https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2026\/03\/1st_Floor-1320x996.png 1320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/journalism\/\">The Journalism Library<\/a>, located at 401 S 9th St, Columbia, MO 65211, has an even greater selection of physical copies of magazines including <em>TIME, <\/em>with others like <em>Forbes<\/em>\u00a0and <em>Publishers<\/em> Weekly available through database access..<\/p>\n<p>Special Collections, located on the fourth floor of Ellis, is another great place to explore historic magazines (amongst other things), with some collections dating back to 1805. The collection includes bridal, religious, beauty, and sports magazines, collections title Style Before Social Media: Fifteen Fashion and Beauty Magazines, and Toys and Collectibles, as well as a variety of specialty publications, such as pet care. All of these materials can be viewed by visiting the<a href=\"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/specialcollections\/\"> Special Collections and Archives homepage<\/a> and scheduling a time to stop by.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-38573 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2026\/02\/jet.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"186\" height=\"261\" \/>Special Collections also has a wide selection of online magazine exhibits. <a href=\"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/specialcollections\/exhibits\/show\/black-magazines-2024\/news\">\u201cLife in America: Sixteen Black Magazines from 1953-1998\u201d<\/a> looks at the history of influential Black news and lifestyle magazines such as <em>Ebony, Jet, Sepia<\/em>, and <em>Emerge<\/em>, that served Black audiences often overlooked by mainstream media. The exhibit highlights how these publications covered news, culture, and every day life. Another exhibit examines the <a href=\"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/specialcollections\/exhibits\/show\/bridalmagazines\/home\">rise of bridal magazines<\/a>, including titles like <em>Brides and Modern Bride <\/em>that shaped wedding culture.
