MOspace Digital Repositories

The MU Libraries hosts two digital repositories that support teaching and research at MU. The MOspace Institutional Repository includes faculty and student papers and presentations, and MU theses and dissertations. The MOspace Digital Library includes digital facsimiles of rare and special materials in MU Libraries. Find out more about MOspace resources available to you, and learn how you can contribute your own content or work with libraries on a project to digitize special MU materials.

A representative from Thomson Reuters will be on campus Tuesday, March 31st, to provide training for the Web of Science, which was recently purchased by the University of Missouri . There will be two sessions:

Web of Science Core Collection training session
An introduction to the Web of Science Core Collection and how to search it.

Web of Science Impact Measures: Cited Reference Searching, Journal Citation Reports and Essential Science Indicators

Apr 10    Alternative Metrics for Measuring the Impact of Research—Altmetrics
It takes time for your work to be formally cited by other researchers and common citation indexes do not work equally well for all disciplines and research methods.  Altmetrics (alternative metrics) are faster and wider-ranging measures of the impact your work is having on other researchers and the general public.  This workshop will introduce you to current altmetrics tools and how they’re being used to demonstrate the value of research.
