<a href=\"http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/\">http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"SpellE\">Journalism Library web page \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/journalism\/#tabs-3\">http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/journalism\/databases\/<\/a> .<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"SpellE\">The Journalism Library web page separately lists the databases most often used by journalism students.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"SpellE\">Some databases that are particularly useful for journalism include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"SpellE\"><strong>Academic Search Premier (EBSCOhost)<\/strong>. If you select the &#8220;Choose database&#8221; tab at the top, you can then retrieve a list of the titles indexed in each. Good place for finding information on current events.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"SpellE\"><strong>Alternative Press Index<\/strong> \u2013 indexes over 250 alternative, radical and left periodicals, newspapers and magazines. Coverage is international and interdisciplinary.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"SpellE\"><strong>Factiva<\/strong> provides access to current issues and an archive of over 8,000 publications from around the globe. It includes the Wall Street Journal, web news, news transcripts and photos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"SpellE\"><strong>Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe<\/strong>. Choose the Guided Search\u201d tab on top and then choose General News for Major Papers, or U.S. News for region-specific newspapers.\u00a0 Other categories you may search in Lexis-Nexis are: Business, Legal news and cases, Medical and Reference.
