Description: This collection of letters by prominent figures from during Henry VIII's reign to the present (1755) was compiled by English clergyman John Duncombe, who wrote under the pseudonym Crito, and printed by Rivington and Dodsley in St. Paul's churchyard.
Condition/Repair: The textblock of vol. 1 is broken, and there is external tape damage to the spine and internal tape damage to the hinges of both volumes. The conservator will repair the broken textblock using heavy kozo paper, will remove the tape, and will make minor repairs to edges and corners on the covers.
