Artist Statement: This work is reliant on the formal attributes of scenes and objects located in an American middle class community. The images are not reliant on a particular geographic location, only referencing general representations of a working class area. Because of the more universal appearance of the scenes photographed, the formal elements of architecture and light become a primary focus in the series.
