Neighborhood Watch Training

Are you worried about crime in your neighborhood? Do you wish there was something you could do to help reduce crime? Well the Daniel Boone Public Library has an event for you. They are partnering with the Columbia Neighborhood Watch Board to help residents learn how to start their own neighborhood watch. The event is on Monday, April 24th from 6:30-7:30pm. Volunteering at Cedar Creek

Do you want to be a part of our awesome therapy team? Volunteers assisting riders with mental, emotional and physical disabilities are needed for 8-week sessions in the spring, summer and fall. You can be a part of the first steps, first words, and many, many smiles we see each session! Volunteers commit to 2 hours per week for the 8-week session.  Volunteer training sessions are held the Monday before each session begins.

Volunteer Opportunity: Missouri Crisis Line

   Volunteers Needed for the Missouri Crisis Line/Text Line

The Missouri Crisis Line/Text Line is a 24-hour telephone crisis hotline.  We offer a great one on one experience with flexible scheduling.  We ask that you VOLUNTEER one 3-hour shift a week and do one overnight  (11pm-7am) a month.  Our next new volunteer training will be June 4th (9am-1pm), June 6-9 (5:30pm-9:30pm) and June 13-16 (5:30pm-9:30pm).  This is a 40-hour training.  All days are required, but you can miss a few days due to scheduling issues.  If you are interested: please email Teresa at loganste@health.missouri.edu or call 573-445-5005 (ask for Teresa).

   VOLUNTEER FOR SHOW-ME STATE GAMES THIS SUMMER

Have some fun volunteering and assisiting athletes this summer. Show-Me STATE GAMES needs volunteers for our summer weekends, June 10-12, July 22-24 and July 29-31. Sign up now, you can assist at a sport that you know something about, or try a new one.
